Understanding the Analytics dashboard

What each Analytics metric means, how it's calculated, and how to turn it on.

Last updated August 26, 2026

The Analytics dashboard turns your day-to-day work into trends, so you can see how your operation is performing over time instead of one visit at a time. It's a Business-plan feature; on other plans you'll see a blurred preview of what it looks like.

The metrics it shows

  • Inspections / mo: how many visits you completed this month, compared with last month so you can spot whether your volume is growing.
  • Avg resolution: the average time it takes to close an issue from when it's first flagged to when it's marked resolved, with the change versus last month.
  • Issue close rate: of the issues that needed action, the share you've resolved, a quick read on how well real problems are being followed through. Issues you dismiss as "not actually a problem" are left out of this entirely, so deciding something isn't an issue never counts against your rate.
  • Report quality: how often your AI report drafts are accepted as-is without edits, a signal of how well the drafts match your voice.

How the numbers are calculated

Every metric is built from your real data: the visits you log, the issues you flag and resolve, and the reports you send. The month-over-month figures compare the current period with the one before it, and the charts (inspections over time, issues by room) break the same data down so you can see where your work concentrates.

Tip · The dashboard reflects activity you've recorded in NestWatch, so the more visits and reports you complete, the more meaningful the trends become.

Analytics also includes a per-property revenue view. For homes on a recurring package, the monthly figure comes from the property's active recurring schedule when one exists (normalized to a monthly amount), and otherwise from the catalog plan on its billing profile. These are the same numbers you see on each property's At a Glance strip.

Turning on Analytics
