Set a property's billing profile

Tell NestWatch how each property is billed (per visit, on a recurring package, or manually) so it knows what still needs an invoice.

Every property has a billing profile, the Billing Profile card on its page, that records how you bill that home. It doesn't create invoices by itself; it tells NestWatch which visits still need billing so nothing goes out the door unbilled and nothing gets billed twice.

  • Per visit: each completed visit is billable on its own. Visits without an invoice show as needing billing until you invoice them.
  • Recurring package: the home is covered by one of your catalog plans (usually paired with a recurring schedule), so routine visits count as covered and only extra add-on work surfaces as billable.
  • Manual: you handle billing outside the usual flow; NestWatch stays out of the way.
  1. Open the property and find the Billing Profile card.
  2. Pick the model. For Recurring package, also choose which catalog plan covers the home; a “Needs plan” warning shows until you do.
  3. Save. The needs-billing indicators across NestWatch (like the billing nudge on your dashboard) now follow this profile.
Tip · Billing profiles are included on every plan. If you use Bill from Visits on a property marked recurring or manual, NestWatch asks you to confirm first, since those visits are normally considered covered.
