Flag and track an issue
Track a problem privately, share customer-safe updates, and see when a homeowner acknowledges one.

Spot a leak, a tripped breaker, or a landscaping concern and flag it during a visit. NestWatch keeps the issue open across visits until you mark it resolved, so nothing slips through the cracks.

- Flag the issue during a visit with a severity level and photos.
- NestWatch reminds you to recheck open issues on future visits.
- Use Add internal note for staff-only work details. Internal is the safe default.
- Use Post homeowner update only for customer-safe wording you want the client to see. The update appears in a dated activity timeline beneath that issue in their portal.
- Until the homeowner acts, your activity trail says Not yet acknowledged. When they choose Acknowledge update, that same entry shows Acknowledged with the date and time.
- Mark the issue resolved when it's handled. A homeowner acknowledgement records receipt of that one shared update; it does not approve the work or change the issue status.
Tip · Internal notes, vendor details, automatic status history, and other operator activity stay private. Only updates you deliberately post with Post homeowner update appear in the portal. Editing or deleting a homeowner update changes the portal too, and NestWatch warns you before you do it.
