Store private homeowner attachments
Keep contracts, proposals, authorizations, insurance, and property documents on the private client record.

Who can see attachments
Open a homeowner record and choose Attachments. These files and their internal notes are private, operator-only workspace records. Any signed-in workspace teammate can use them; homeowners cannot see them in the portal, and uploading one does not send a message or add it to a report or invoice.
Tip · Homeowner attachments are available on every plan. Portal access is not file access: share a document separately through an approved customer-facing channel when the homeowner needs a copy.
Upload and organize a file
- Open Homeowners, select the client, and choose the Attachments tab.
- Click Upload Document and choose a PDF, JPG, or PNG no larger than 10 MB. Empty files and other formats are rejected.
- Add a title and choose Contract, Proposal, Authorization, Insurance Policy, Property Document, or Other.
- Optionally add the document date and an internal note. Internal notes are not homeowner-visible.
- Upload the file. A successful attachment appears on the record with its size, date, uploader, and controls to preview, download, or delete it.
Recover from an error
- Wrong format, empty file, or over 10 MB: choose a non-empty PDF, JPG, or PNG within the limit and submit again.
- Upload or metadata save fails: the unfinished upload is abandoned; keep the dialog open, check your connection, and retry.
- Preview is blocked: allow pop-ups for NestWatch, then preview again. You can also download the file.
- Preview, download, or delete fails: the attachment stays on the record. Retry; if loading the list failed, use Try Again first.
Tip · Deleting removes the attachment from the homeowner record and records that deletion in the internal activity history. It does not delete unrelated visit photos.
