Review and respond to a work proposal
Understand what you are deciding, submit your response, and find the receipt for that version.

Open the request for the correct home
Your home watch provider sends a review email when there is a work proposal ready for your decision. Open its portal link and check the property name. If the link has expired or you cannot access the home, use the portal's recovery option or ask your provider for a current link. Do not forward a private portal link to other people.
A review request is not an invoice. Receiving an estimate does not mean the work has started, and opening the link does not approve it.
Read the scope before choosing a response
- Scope: what work is being proposed and which equipment or area it concerns.
- Exclusions: what is not included in the proposal.
- Timing: the proposed work window, not a guarantee that a contractor has booked the job.
- Estimate: the amount, currency, and terms, if the request includes a price. A permission-only request has no monetary estimate.
- Attachments: the evidence your provider deliberately shared with this proposal.

Submit and confirm your decision
- Choose Approve, Decline, or Request changes. Request changes if the scope, amount, timing, or terms need clarification.
- Add the explanation requested by the form. Be specific about the change you want rather than approving first and explaining an exception afterward.
- Read and complete the authority acknowledgement. Respond only if you are authorized to make this decision for the property.
- Submit once and wait for confirmation. Check the receipt shown on the proposal; it identifies the version and recorded decision.
Your provider can see your recorded response in their app. If you do not receive confirmation after a connection problem, reopen the proposal and look for the receipt before trying again. If the app says the version has changed or the request was withdrawn, refresh and review the current state instead of relying on an older email.
What happens next
Approval applies to the submitted version you reviewed. A later revision with different work or terms needs a new decision. If you want to change a decision that is already recorded, contact your provider rather than assuming a second click can replace the receipt.
Approval does not charge your card or confirm the work is finished. Your provider coordinates the work and handles any invoice separately. A completion update may include a summary or evidence they chose to share; it is separate from the original approval.
