How to submit and track a service request
Open Service Requests in your portal, send the details, and follow the request through completion.
Last updated August 27, 2026
If something needs attention at your home, submit a service request straight from the Service Requests tab in your portal. It enters your home watch provider's Client Requests queue, where they can reply, update its status, share progress, and create linked follow-up work. Requests stay separate from ordinary Messages so the work never gets buried in a conversation.
Submitting a request
- Open your portal and choose Service Requests.
- Add a short Request that names what you need.
- Use Details for the extra context your provider should know.
- Choose Send Request. The request is saved and your provider is notified.

What happens next
Your submitted requests stay listed below the form for the selected property. Open a request to see its status, your original details, replies, and the homeowner-visible activity your provider has shared. If you have more than one property, use the property switcher before submitting so the request reaches the right home. Private team notes never appear in your portal.
Request statuses
Your service request moves through a short set of statuses so you always know where it stands:
- New: your request was received and is waiting for review.
- Accepted: your provider has reviewed it and is taking it forward.
- Scheduled: follow-up work has been planned or linked.
- In progress: the work is actively underway.
- Completed: the work is done.
- Declined: your provider is not taking this request forward.
